Here’s the thing. Everyone who has been spouting out theories of this relationship being fake and that SME is trying to hide shit (which they have always been??? it’s nothing new. they’re like…the kings of bullshitting a lot of their explanations), needs to fucking chill. So what if it’s actually fake? So what if it’s a cover-up for a bigger scandal? SO WHAT
Why is so important for you to discredit something that you may or may never knew if it’s true or not? Why is that so very important to you? Why is it important for you to have to go through such lengths to dissect a very simple situation and make it into something negative?
These are two people. Their names are Kim Jongin and Jung Soojung, and if they hadn’t decided to be part of SME, hadn’t decided to pursue what they dreamed of doing, hadn’t been chosen to be in the spotlight and have millions upon millions of people know their name, they, would be just like you and me. And just like you and me, I’m certain they also desire privacy and trust. Privacy because the moment they were confirmed a debut date, their life and choices would always be scrutinized and questioned, and the idea of just being is now a dream that they won’t be able to obtain again. Trust because doubts are always ready to be thrown their way. Soojung still to this day is criticized for her face when she doesn’t willingly smile - something that she can’t even control, something that she and Sooyeon have tried, on multiple, occasions to explain that it isn’t their choice. Jongin. Yes, he’s very handsome and he dances really well, but there is so much more to Kim Jongin than a label his company slapped on his profile page. Yes he dances, but do you know why he dances, and have you seen him dance. Have you watched him dance without letting your mind head towards a sexual or desiring direction? Have you ever just sat there and watched him dance for the sake of that dance and appreciate it?
This isn’t a fan fiction and it isn’t a book. There’s no plot that we can skip pages over to see the end, and it’s not a piece by which we can truly say we have the right to analyze, critique, and dissect because we are unsatisfied and displeased with what we see. Kim Jongin and Jung Soojung are two HUMAN BEINGS that have a heart, mind, soul, body just like our own, and they have thoughts and emotions that can be just as strong and vulnerable as ours.
Your age does not matter. However, if you are able to think, speak, and observe this situation enough to put your fingers to the keyboard and say something about it, I would also like to think that you have the common decency and sense to think about how these two people feel in this situation. Before you think about how hurt YOU are, think about these two people who are just TWO facing an audience of millions - most of which, want to rip them apart just because of the word “dating”.
Before you analyze, sympathize and empathize. Or, simply calm yourselves, and walk away from the temptation to add more to the wreck.
You know what I’m tired of? Y'all painting kyungsoo as some scorned lover who wants to kill krystal. Like, he is not jealous, he was not in a relationship with kai, and I’m sure he doesn’t hate his close friend’s girlfriend. And stop being hateful about kaistal because it means your ship isn’t real. Grow the fuck up. They are people. They have feelings. And they are real. Your ships and fanfics arent.
